Joomla is an Open Source Content Management
System a CMS for short. A content management system
allows the user to easily update information using a backend
based on PHP and MySQL databases. They're designed to manage
thousands of pages at a time, and create new content
constantly. Joomla has over 3500 plugins available to extend
usability and add features. Joomla is installed on the hosting
server and runs independently of any other
software.

other hand is a feature rich desktop web publishing
platform. It's primary purpose is to create 15-20 page
mini-sites but has been known to handle upwards of 300 page
sites with no problems. The project based site manger allows
you to publish as many sites as you want across a multitude
of domains. It's also extremely convenient for managing
